I believe that the profound challenges and joys of the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period contain all the power that is necessary to open our hearts wide enough for the most important experience in life: parenthood. The process of becoming a new family is one of tremendous, often overwhelming transitions. While many of these changes seem universal, the experience of every family--and every member of that family--is unique. As a postpartum doula, I support new families as they make their way through this wonderful, tumultuous, exciting time, by caring for the physical, emotional, and informational needs of each member of the family.
